A New Year
Wow, I haven't written in a while. I would guess becuase I feel like there is nothing to write about. Time is passing and my hope is this is my last year in the UN. I am working on getting my visa, without much help from the law office we hired. Got upset with them today and now the owner is involved. I hate that you have to get upset before some people will do anything. Why is paying or asking them not enough. Hopefully things will proceed with a bit more speed now.
Some funnies.
D thought he would just leave the girls out of their cages between breakfast and lunch today to see how they acted. When he got back at lunch there was snow in his room from the bedspread. HAHA he is so suckered by those dogs. Guess they are back in their cages from now on. Don't feel sorry for them. D takes them for an hour in the morning, for 20 minutes at lunch and another hour at night. So spoiled those two.
Dad was in Yellowknife recently visiting his grandkids, he had just gotten surgery on his leg and so he was telling Little Leo that in his next life he was going to be a doctor. Little Leo promptly told him that no he was going to be a pile of bones. Nothing like a reality check from a 5 year old.
I play UNO every tuesday night in our staff club. Anyone can come and play. Dan, Matthias and I are regulars and others pop in and out of the game. The play gets pretty wicked and Matthias was kicking our asses. He cheats lots so we got him back by ganging up on him. He ended up with lots of points that round and was grumpy. Dan and I were laughing our asses off at him.
The rain never seems to stop here. In two weeks im going to England so I can look forward to more rain. I definately like snow more.
